I need your help--and I don't have a church family, really. { I have friends. Friends with this little thing in common, Jesus. }

I'm here.

=)

I've been silent, I'm sorry.

Well, kind of, not really? Sorry for the silence, thankful for the reason.

God has been teaching me, silencing me, He is so good. ( you would agree, especially if you feel like I yack too much ;)

However, I'm back. And I appreciate all the emails, messages, even letters checking on me. =)

A few nights back I was going through pictures on my computer from years ago. While crying my little eyes out, I realized my life has been so full of good people. Some for only a while, some for a lifetime. All, shaping and molding me into who I am today. I am so thankful.

A question for you:

If I'm back and I'm committed to writing now that my heart is a bit stronger and I'm sorting the words out in my head--can I ask of your help, yet again?

You see, I have this friend and her family have this calling.

Then I have these bottles and they need filled.

And I don't have a church family, really. I have friends. Friends with this little thing in common, Jesus.

yup! you simply take a cutie pie little bottle and fill it with your spare change.

and that little sweetie is one step closer to coming home!

Are there 15 people who would take a bottle, put it on their counter and fill it up in a months time with their change? Could you hold a family meeting, tell your kiddos about the love our Jesus has for Widows and Orphans and tell them they have a chance to help?

If you can help, please do.

If you will help, please do.

=)

Near or far-- I'll mail or deliver the bottle to you and pay for your shipping back.

Adoption is such a HUGE thing. Just think, that God-- that wonderful, magnificent, gracious God who adopted us-- with all our junk, allows us the opportunity to show grace to a child who knows no grace.

And he uses people like Christy.

Oh, I could list her credentials, tell you all about how she is worthy of help; tell you all the wonderful things she has done and continues to do for the Kingdom, however I will give all the Glory to that God of ours.

Knowing, He knows her, and He lives in you--
and you hear His voice.

Will you help her?

And you know what's amazing? I know you'll help. However, why not make it fun, right? So, here is the little twist-- out of all the people who take a bottle and fill it up, there will be a give-a-way. Yes! One of Katie's Ugandan necklaces. On October 7th, we will be drawing one name -- from the names of people who filled their bottle-- out of a hat and the winner will receive one of those beautiful handmade necklaces.

You know what else would be great? If three of Christy's friends {which I don't know her friends} did the same thing (found 15 friends to fill bottles) and we all had little bottles full of help coming her way-- are there friends who will do that? I'll take one of your bottles ;)

See, we're helping people all around! Together!

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. James 1:27

So thankful for grace

I'll write more tomorrow, hopefully saying all 15 bottles have been spoken for!

{ Once you have told me you would like a bottle, I will deliver or mail it to you. You will fill it up within the next month with just spare change and then we will donate it to Christy and her families adoption process. Christy and her husband, Steve currently have two daughters and are praying for their little sweetie in Uganda to come quick!

So, I Dyed My Hair a Crazy Red and I'm Writing a Book

eek! that is a whole lot of me, I know.

It's something I've wanted to do for a couple years now but keep telling myself I'm not good enough.

Besides, who in the world cares what I have to say and who do I think I am thinking I can write a book?

Well, today I woke up and didn't care anymore if I was good enough, I just wanted the desire to leave and wanted to sip coffee late at night and write my little heart out.

So, I'm going to do it.

Being a writer and all, (HA!) I thought, "hmmm I need a funky new look to go along with this decision"

So, bright red fits the bill at only $7 a bottle, compliments of my local Wal-Mart. And I suppose I will continue to wear this head turning color until the book is finished, I decided that this morning too.

When said book is finished, I'm not going to lie. We sure hope someone likes it because we really would like to fill our little house with orphans. Yup, it's true.

The last thing I decided was to tell you. Not because I thought you really cared, but more because if you're the praying type {which I so hope you are} maybe you pray for me?

Just a little prayer.

Pray that it would be not of my flesh but of Gods spirit. (ok and you can pray that I know when to use punctuation because I'm so bad at that.)

Ooh, this red hair makes me a little funky.

 Loves! =)

Well, Because We're Crazy: Here is an Exciting Announcement!

When they sat down at our lunch table during camp and asked if we'd ever thought about being  foreign exchange "parents" we never would have dreamed he'd be living in our home less than two weeks later.

=)

So this morning when I received the email that read:

"The school has everything now except for an updated transcript.  The placement has been confirmed so now we are waiting for Taiwan to finish their paperwork and give us a travel date!"

...my tummy did a little nervous sick feeling, like I was jumping off a bridge or something. A feeling I've had lots of times considering any time God does something in our lives, it is SUPER quick. We usually look back and say, "Who would have thought..."

I just keep thinking about how we almost didn't go to camp and how I almost didn't go to the mom meeting at camp where the lady met me and thought "Hey, they would be a great host home." and then I think about how I prayed and prayed God would bring something more than just a fun family time out of that trip to camp. So, I have to just rest in knowing, "He knew all along."

Something He keeps reminding me.

When I pictured my life, a few years ago... it looked nothing like it does today. But God could see it all and one can only hope, having surrendered my life to Him, He prepares me for each step I take every day.

So, this step takes me into the school I just left ten years ago and enroll him into classes. I'll become a "mom" to a High School Boy from Taiwan. He'll share our rules and be introduced to our values. We'll stumble through language barriers and math problems. Kind of exciting, acutally really exciting.

This morning, when I told Alli it was a done deal, she said, "What about Grandma, what will she say... you know mom sometimes she says things that aren't really nice." I said, "Grandma?"  "I'm not worried about Grandma, what if he doesn't like us?"

Alli said, "Yeah we are a pretty crazy family." =)

Be parying for us, that we'll be a good home for him. That God has a bigger plan than just him learning about America. Pray we can honor his family by doing a good job and making it the best experience possible. During their free time at his home, they mountain bike up the mountains in Taiwan. Ummmm, yeah... not so much here. =)

We need to get a bunk bed, twin over full; among other things, that is the most important. If you know of anyone who has a good wooden one for sale, we sure could use it... we've been looking and looking and looking with no luck. All three girls already share a room and they have a twin over twin, Jordan and Emmyn on bottom. We've been looking for a twin over full for the girls room and we'll put the twin over twin in Judah's room. Well, now we need to get it within the next few days.

I'm always a little fearful to share announcements like this. We'll see, you never know... it could fall through but I suppose we need to get ready!

Thanks for praying, it's not a big deal but something we're new at so prayers are appreciated.

Loves,

This Place Was Once Home

Please just pray, pray, pray for the sweet people of Joplin, MO.

Joplin has a very special place in our hearts, having moved from OK to Joplin for Daniel to attend Ozark Christian College in 2004.

Now, the Wal-Mart we bought our little Jordi's diapers at and the hardware store we shopped at is completely gone. The Memorial Hall where Alli and Daniel attended Father Daughter Date Night each year for Valentines Day, is now being used as a hospital.

My sweet friend, Ginny knows several people who have lost everything. Other friends of ours have loved ones in hospitals all over the area.

I was working in my garden, watching the children play in the water hose, taking a break to play in the sandbox with my little Emmyn, totally unaware of such pain and suffering taking place. Oh friends, how unaware we are of so much in the world.

God is so big, so good, may he hold and comfort the afflicted. May those confused, weak, weary, and tired, lean on Him.

Please pray.

Judah and His Legs

Last Friday Judah woke up and couldn't walk. I heard him out in the hall way whimpering and went to grab him. He said "my leg is buzzing" So, I took his sweet little self and put him into a bath of hot water. When I went into his bedroom, I noticed he had also had an accident in his bed during the night, so I got a little afraid.

"Oh, his foot is just asleep, he'll be fine after his bath," I thought. But one hour went by of bath time fun and he still couldn't walk. I got a real afraid then, the worst case scenarios started to come to mind. A stroke of some sort, a seizure... I didn't know. So, I called Daniel to come home and look at him. By the time Daniel got home, I was a crying mess and afraid. Judah is a runner and a ball lover, what if he couldn't walk ever again? On top of all that, he was still totally happy, in no pain, and thought he could walk just fine, until he tried. That makes it even harder, when someone who has something wrong is joyful.

Well, I prayed all morning just in my mind about it, especially waiting for Daniel to get home. I just talked with God asking him for wisdom and healing. After he got home Daniel and I prayed over him, asking again that God would touch his little body.

After praying, Daniel stretched out his legs, rubbed on his muscles, etc. He thought for sure it was something in the back. A pinched nerve or something from sleeping on a toy in his bed. Or maybe he had fallen the day before during one of his crazy man stunts =) Judah is famous for those... So, we called our chiropractor. He had done some work on Judah a couple years back when he had fallen out of his crib, (another crazy man stunt.) Well, the chiropractor was closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, we thought... let's call the doctor. We called the Dr. "Sure, we'll get you in at 10am." they said.

Good, we'll find out what's wrong.

I went into the school room to sit with him and Daniel. Everything in me wanted to pray for him again, lay my hands on him and just cry out to God, tears and all. But I couldn't. It was an overwhelming feeling. One I had not had for a long time. About that same time Daniel said out of no where, "Man I am just afraid to pray over him" He continued, "I feel like I should but then I start thinking, what if God doesn't answer..." I told him I was having the same feeling.

It was about 8:45 by then and Daniel headed back to work, I was going to pick him up on my way to the Dr. at 10:oo.

Kids all dressed, everyone all packed up I ran back into the house to grab something and I hear a "ding" on my computer-- an email notification.

It was a prayer request from our church, I suppose Daniel had the secretary send it out, I still have never asked. It read:

Please pray for Judah Gibson. He woke up this morning and couldn't walk. His let muscles are all tensed up but he says it doesn't hurt. They have a doctors appointment at 10am to see if they can figure out what's wrong. Pray for the Lord to heal his little body, of whatever is causing this.

After reading that I paused.

"They have a Dr. apt this morning to see if they can figure out what is wrong. Pray for the Lord to heal his body of whatever is causing this."

I thought that over and over again, even re-reading the words a few times.

Isn't that the way it is? They have a Dr. apt this morning to see if they can figure out what is wrong with him. I thought, why are we praying for healing if the Dr. can just figure it out? And then I thought, why should I take him to the doctor, explain all of his symptoms so he can give an educated guess. When God knows the exact reason he isn't walking. I thought and I thought and I thought on that.

Ofter hopping back into the van and driving I thought of David and how he went to the temple to worship after the death of his first son.

2 Samuel 12:15-23

Then the LORD struck the child that Uriah's widow bore to David, so that he was very sick. David therefore inquired of God for the child; and David fasted and went and lay all night on the ground. The elders of his household stood beside him in order to raise him up from the ground, but he was unwilling and would not eat food with them. Then it happened on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, “Behold, while the child was still alive, we spoke to him and he did not listen to our voice. How then can we tell him that the child is dead, since he might do himself harm!” But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; so David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” And they said, “He is dead.” So David arose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he came into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he came to his own house, and when he requested, they set food before him and he ate. Then his servants said to him, “What is this thing that you have done? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept; but when the child died, you arose and ate food.” He said, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, 'Who knows, the LORD may be gracious to me, that the child may live.' “But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me.”

David worshiped. I thought to myself, why do we worship God in the good times but worry in the scary times when we serve the Creator of the World?

Only a minute from picking up Daniel and 15 minutes from our Dr. apt I called and canceled the appointment. Feeling like praise to God is what my spirit was calling me to, not the Dr.'s house. So, we stopped at the church, told Daniel and then we went to the Nature Center to walk and praise God for Judah's healing, the kids and I.

It was a different time. I wrapped Emmyn in my Moby and put my big boy in the stroller. When the roots were too big and he would be afraid to go over the big rocks with the stroller, I carried him. When he couldn't stand to throw the rocks into the river, I sat with him. I just sat and worshiped God. The girls never left our side. Usually, they are running down the one big long stretch on the 2 1/2 mile path. Not this time. This time, they walked and talked with their brother. Talking about everything from the squirrels digging for their winters nuts to big scary "tree legs" that made the stroller so bumpy, we stood by him. Every now and then he would say "let me out mom, I can't walk but I can run..." and he would try but fall. I would think, "God, where are you?" "I am here... aren't you going to pull through? What about my kids? They need to see you here..."

Isn't that how we are? We'll wait days for a Dr.'s results but only hours for God's.

We finished and returned home (after an ice cream cone stop =o) When we got out of the van Judah said he wanted to ride his bike. I put him on it, and he rode it. He then started to walk a little bit, even try to run. About that time, Daniel came home to check on him. We had lunch outside and he was walking even better! He just kept getting better and kept getting better. Just all of a sudden. Now don't get me wrong, he would tire out and need to sit and even still crawl but he was mending.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

By the next day he was a normal little boy and by the day after that, he was totally normal. And today he is doing crazy Judah stunts. =)

We have nothing against the Dr. chances are, he slept on a toy wrong and just had a pinched nerve or sore muscle, and had too much to drink before bed. (There I go again, underestimating what God can and will do today) Regardless to what WAS wrong, it's not now.

I am always so blown away by how God gets us prepared for things. Through the strangest scenarios. It's not about a sick little boy and a Dr.'s visit. It's about hearing the shepherds voice and allowing yourself to be challenged. No matter how untimely it seems. Obedience during the sickness of a child? Surely not God.

John 10:27
"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me."

God is so good. Only He is good.

We're so happy he healed our little Judah.

Maurice Bradley...

...is the name of a guy I picked up the other day. Normally, I don't mention the people I help but this guy had a great story to be shared. Well, they all have a great story... this man's just so happened to also be on the internet. He had just been released from the Christian County Jail and was headed to Springfield to catch a bus home to St. Louis. While driving he shared his life with me and told me about this video he had made to help bring awareness of the effects of heroin. http://hairkuttthemovie.com/

He is the one talking on the clip. It's great to see he is trying to make a difference. If you have Netflix, you should rent it. You could also pray for Maurice, that he would continue to make good choices, giving God the glory.

A Heavy Heart

I just received a call from a friend. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

She went for just a normal exam but received such sad news.

When she told me my heart just sunk. Still now, I am just so sad. I am always taken back in amazement by how quickly our lives can change.

My heart is sad for her. My heart is sad for her husband, her children, her mother who lives so far away but is so very close to her and for her very close friends.

I am only sad for the news, for the suddenness of it all and for the shock she has had to endure. Well, and also for the conviction it gives me I suppose. It makes me feel so selfish for all the things I take for granted in my life. I know our God is a God of healing so I pray his Will, will be done in her sweet life.

Please pray with me for wisdom, strength, support, healing, and comfort for them. What a wonderful time this is for them to take and hold close all of those things we take so much for granted. While praying for them, take time to think of all the meaningless things, we too, take for granted each day.

I'll keep you updated on her beautiful story.

Nana's Party Won!

I posted a request of prayer for our Nana and her boss. Prayers for God's will to happen.

Praise the Lord, she won!

Thank you so much for your prayers.

Well, It's Finally Election Day

Presidents aside, there is yet another reason this election is very important to us.

Our Nana.

Nana's boss is up for re-election as Court Clerk, if she doesn't get re-elected Nana may be out of office. She has worked in the same office for over 20 years but this election it could switch hands for the worse.

Normally we would be safe but this is a big election and some people vote strictly party on areas they are not even educated in so that poses a little scare.

So if you don't mind to say a quick prayer for Gods will for our Nana's office we would sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

It's Been a Long Time

You know it's bad when you get an email from your mother in law asking why haven't you updated... :-) Sorry Marilynn!!

It has just been a terrible past week. If you are a common reader on our little updates you will know that complaining is not typical of us however, it has been a bad week.

We have traveled over 1500 miles in the past week (to TN and back) for hopes of a great time of growing with the team and spending some time in the city, getting familiar with it, possibly meeting people, etc. Well, the trip started off with an all nighter, we were not all packed after church last Wed night and were planned to leave at 3am, sigh...

Well, we weren't close to being ready so Daniel stayed up real late and I stayed up the whole night (he had to get some sleep to drive). But that can be typical so we didn't think too much about it. We arrived around 2pm that day and were able to spend a great deal of time in the city until the kiddos had, had enough of the van ;-)

Well, normally I go on and on about everything in great detail but right now I am just not in the blogging mood. (sorry for the negativity...) maybe it's the fever??

Long story short on our second full day we received a phone call from several dear friends of ours concerning a terrible thing that had happened back in Carthage, MO. One of our past youth group students grandparents were found not alive in their home Sunday morning. It is a very, very sad thing. It has affected so many different people whom we are close with. I have no idea what that must be like for those dear people, I just can't imagine. I know I am dealing with sorrow, anger, and just aching inside because I wish I could be there closer to them.

Secondly, that day we noticed Judah had big golf ball like sized lumps under his ears. Then that night Jordan woke up with a very high fever and throwing up blood and mucus (sorry for the visual) then I came down sick with a high fever, chills, etc. It was just miserable. On top of all that, I missed the people here in Ozark so much, it was just a sad thing.

Well, after all of that we decided to pack up and head home early. We wern't suppose to head home until Saturday morning but we headed home this morning at 1 am. That was a nice drive home. For some reason we all felt a little better, a little bit more joyful, and had some energy. It was like a race for home.

While we were away we realized how much we miss, Life.

Our life has been on hold for so long now and we are ready for things to be back to normal. I told Daniel this morning, I miss having fun at home. I miss turning the radio up real loud and chasing the kids around the house. I miss our smell when we come home, I miss Daniel and I watching a movie on the couch after the kids go to sleep. I miss having people over to our house. I miss our house being a place of ministry, a place where people can come and go as they wish; stay as long as they need and come back soon. Daniel said, "yea, I miss that too." We are hungry for that fellowship again. So, while the kids were still asleep, and the morning sun was peeking over the hills we brainstormed all the great things we need to start doing again. Please don't get me wrong... the Simpson's have been so WONDERFUL in allowing us to stay here and they are a blast to be with.

You might have read our update from a few weeks ago entitled I Have Been a Bad Blogger well, in that update I announced the news that we would be exiting "the basement" :-) on or before November 15th. When we told the Simpson's that they said "No, you stay... as long as you need". They said there is no reason for moving from here until you make the move to TN, no need to move twice." (They are so amazing). So before our trip we had decided to go ahead and spend the holidays at the Simpson's and hold off on finding a place. BUT on that drive home we realized, we have to quit putting life on hold. There are so many people and so many relationships we have placed on the back burner and that is not being a good Christian. We were built for relationships. God can move us whenever he wants to, wherever he wants to, but for now we need to make the best of where we are.

So, when we pulled in the driveway after only two stops on the 12 hour drive, we unloaded the stuff, ate some lunch, checked some Craigslist listings for houses in the area and then... boom! Everyone went down hill. Jordan and my fevers went up again, Judah started crying terribly, and even Alli started running a fever. So, everyone went for naps.

I was so excited to go to church tonight to hear one of the students teach and surprise everyone that we came home early but due to fevers the kids and I had to stay home. Daniel was able to go and he said the student did a real good job.

Now to close, while talking to someone at church tonight about the golf ball sized lumps under Judah's ears she mentioned the possibility of MUMPS!!! Daniel looked it up online and found this (click on it to see) That is EXACTLY what Judah looks like. I just don't know what is going on right now but the Gibson's are having a hard time finding our little joy this week.

Please pray for us, and more importantly pray for our friends who lost two dear people with the title of daughter, son, sister, brother, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, and friend. And pray for them to figure out why this happened and who did it that way the family can have closure. We will be traveling there on Friday for the funeral.

Lastly, when we first started Our Glorious Days it was strictly used for our little family updates. But lately ministry has been so intertwined with our little family updates that it has trickled into the posts. But I am going to refrain from listing ministry details since that can be so controversial for some reason.

Welp, that is all for tonight, keep our sick kiddos in your prayers if you don't mind, especially Judah. He is not in the typical age range for Mumps, so hopefully it is just swollen lymph nodes.

I've Been a Bad Blogger

Well, I must admit with all of life's changes lately, I have been a bad blogger; which actually makes me a little sad. :-( I really enjoy writing about all that's going on in our little lives but our little lives have been flying by lately.

I thought I would just stop in real quick to do some updates. :-) We all love a good update, don't we?

UPDATE 1: COMPUTER. Our computer is home and fixed AND it was all repaired for free, yipppee for a warranty that actually does it's job. Just one more reason to go with MAC! (Thank you IRS Supplemental Check) Don't worry Audrey, there is still hope for your little HP, hope he returns home to you soon :-(

UPDATE 2: SCHOOL. School is going wonderful, Jordan is doing so well on her colors, cutting and spelling. Alli is really enjoying the American Girl series and doing so well in her seat work (language, math, phonics). We have been doing a little bit of nature study but mainly just a lot of reading and writing.

UPDATE 3: DANIEL. Daniel has just finished up this semester of schoolwork, which he is very happy about. I must admit, I enjoy it when he doesn't always have his face stuck in a book. It's great because he is able to just plug along at ministry and our upcoming life adventures. :-) Aside from a little sick bug that keeps bothering him, he is truckin' along like normal. Praise be to the Lord for that. We really take "normal" for granted, don't we? Normal is such a great thing.

UPDATE 4: PRAYER REQUESTS. Please continue to pray for the Blades family as Jim battles a new diagnosis of bone cancer. Ginny is doing well, her little baby is growing bigger and bigger :-) we have had only healthy reports!

A few additions to prayer: If you wouldn't mind to pray for the Simpson's (the family we live with) they are searching for a church home after being with the same one for 18 years. Our friends the Swateks also. Both families are such servants for the Lord and will be such an asset to any gathering of believers. If you wouldn't mind to also pray for the Brown family. They are the ones we had to say goodbye to a few months back when they moved up north to NH. Landis (Brown) and Daniel became very close during his time on staff at our church. Well, he has had a hard time finding a teaching job in that area, especially since school is already in session. Living expenses are much more expensive up there. I am sure they would really appreciate your prayers for a job opening. Also, last but certainly not least, my friend Jessica and her family could really use some prayer. Her husband was involved in a car accident where the other driver died. It has been very trying for both families, as you could only imagine. There are several factors in play with that situation but if you could just pray for God's will to be done, that would be great.

UPDATE 5: OUR FAMILIES ADVENTURES. We have been doing so many fun things. I really do love fall. It has been a little different this year, not quite as calm as normal and we haven't been able to be as hospitable as we usually like to be, but that is just our season of life right now. God has us in this season for a reason so we'd better just embrace it and find joy!

UPDATE 6: THE BASEMENT. Yes, we are still in the basement. It really is amazing how hospitable the Simpson's have been to us. They are such wonderful people. AND with that said, I'm sure your next question is, when are we leaving the basement? ( I know it's mine) Well, we have settled on a date, November 15th.

UPDATE 7: WHERE ARE WE GOING? Where are we going? Ha! Well, you know how us Gibson's are... yep! We don't know where we are going yet. We know where God is calling us and we are getting prepared to go but don't know yet if we are headed that direction on that date.

UPDATE 8: With that said, WHAT IS GOD CALLING US TO?! Ha, yes, I kind of left you hangin' with that post didn't I? Well, that is on my list for tomorrow... Expect an update tomorrow (and don't forget, tomorrow goes until 11:59pm ;)

Some Updates on Prayer

Some of you might remember my request for prayer for our dear friends, Jim and Madeline.

Here is an update on his diagnosis:

He has been diagnosed with Bone Cancer; his multiple melanoma is in the intermediate stages. He started oral chemo this week and is also starting a monthly infusion that will help his bones. They are coping at this point. As I mentioned before, they have no medical insurance. Being someone without medical insurance, I can't even imagine what it would be like to receive this type of diagnosis let alone have to worry about money. Please be in prayer for them. Prayers for comfort, healing, wisdom, and prayers for the Lord to provide financial relief from Dr's, Hospitals, Specialists, and even brothers and sisters in Christ.

One more special little request.

See this cute little expecting momma on the right?

Her name is Ginny. Our families are good friends and they are expecting their fourth little blessing in November. We had the pleasure of catching up with these great friends back in August when we had some vacation time.

Please be in prayer for her pregnancy. They have had very trying times in the past and anxiety can run very high during this last trimester and even though you might not know her personally, I believe in the power of prayer and I know it will be a huge blessing to them!

A Heavy Heart

Hello again.

We have returned safely from our fun adventures during this past week Praise be to the Lord.

BUT, those wonderful days in pictures and words will have to wait due to our heavy hearts for people dear to us.

Some of our very dear friends are battling the possibility of bone cancer. Jim and Madeline are parents, grandparents, and friends to many. Jim started last year having bones break for no reason and doctor's diagnosed it as a severe case of osteoporosis. One year later it has worsened and the pain is unbearable. They found out last week it could possibly be bone cancer. Not to mention last I knew since they both work for a church he in Maintenance and her a Treasurer they, like us, don't have health insurance.

Also, after returning home today we received word that one of the ladies from my Created To Be His Help Meet study's father went missing on Tuesday. Today his body was found just yards from his home. Just last week at our study Sherrie spoke of her dad and his love and now he is gone. I cannot even imagine how this family is feeling. We take our family for granted, don't we.

Please pray for these two families.
