Grace.

Lately, I have been looking for ways to point out grace and blessings to my children. The wonderful thing about teaching your children is, it teaches you too. =)

Alli has been working real hard to save up for a watch she wanted. For weeks she saved and saved but was always needing to dip into her saving for something; cat food, to help someone, etc.

Daniel and I had already purchased the watch because it was on sale, marked down from $30 to $16. It was sitting in our cupboard just waiting for her. So, after weeks of Alli's saving and coming up just short, I decided to give an example of grace. She didn't deserve the watch, she had not paid the price in full; but I canceled her debt and allowed her to enjoy the reward.

Isn't that amazing? The grace that our father pours over us, is truly amazing.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2: 8-9

Everything we do in life we could contribute to ourselves. Not Grace. It is a free gift that you cannot make go away. You can choose to not accept it but it is always there, waiting.

What a blessing it is when we take the time to live out an example of Grace. Loving and forgiving people of their debts.
